Pólo intermodal trará nova configuração de armazenagem
Projeto conta com recursos de R$ 15,4 milhões, que serão repassados através do Programa de Aceleração do Crescimento - PAC

O crescimento do potencial energético dos derivados da cana-de-açúcar vem exigindo uma nova logística para atender os mercados interno e externo. A distribuição de álcool necessita de uma formatação diferenciada com resultados de curto prazo e dentro dessa premissa, pelo menos dois projetos que estão em andamento têm que ser destacados: a criação do primeiro ‘alcoolduto’ do Brasil e do mundo e a construção do maior pólo intermodal de cargas do interior do Estado de São Paulo, na região de Ribeirão Preto (SP). O duto vai levar o álcool produzido na região Centro-Oeste (Goiás e Triângulo Mineiro - MG) até a refinaria de Paulínia (SP). De lá, seguirá para o Porto de São Sebastião, no litoral paulista. O projeto é da Petrobrás e as obras estão orçadas em R$ 4 bilhões. A expectativa é de que o ‘alcoolduto’ entre em operação dentro de aproximadamente três anos. O pólo intermodal, porém, deverá funcionar em breve, no município de Serrana (SP), a 340 km da capital paulista. Estudos mostram que o terminal terá capacidade para atender o transporte de parte dos 37,6% do álcool produzido na região Centro-Sul do Brasil, além dos grãos cultivados em São Paulo, Triângulo Mineiro, Sul de Minas Gerais e Sul de Goiás. A área tem cerca de 690 mil m². Nela estão os trilhos da ferrovia Alta Mogiana, capaz de interligar o interior do Centro-Sul ao Porto de Santos, também no litoral paulista.

O Pólo Intermodal Regional, como é conhecido, promete atrair 60 empresas do setor de transportes e logística numa primeira etapa e outras 90 no decorrer dos próximos anos. Significa, na prática, a geração de mais de três mil novos postos de trabalho. As obras devem ser iniciadas ainda neste semestre. A Prefeitura de Serrana aguarda a liberação de R$ 15,4 milhões do Programa de Aceleração do Crescimento (PAC) para oferecer infra-estrutura às empresas interessadas em se instalarem no local. Esses recursos já integram a Lei Orçamentária Anual 2008 (LOA), da Fazenda Nacional. Segundo o prefeito Valério Antônio Galante, “o setor sucroalcooleiro será, sem dúvida, um dos maiores beneficiados com o terminal, que terá a função de integrar o transporte terrestre – rodoviário e ferroviário - para criar uma nova logística nacional e otimizar custos”.

Intermodal Hub brings new concept of storage

The growth of potential energy generated by the sugarcane by-products is demanding a new logistics plan in order to meet the demand of both the domestic and international markets. Ethanol’s distribution requires a different format with short term results, and considering that, at least two projects which are under development, deserve a special mention: the first ethanol pipeline of Brazil and the construction of the largest intermodal hub located in the countryside of the São Paulo State, Ribeirão Preto and Region (SP). The pipeline will take the ethanol produced at the Center-West area (Goias and South of Minas Gerais) to Paulínia’s refinery (SP). From there, it will proceed to São Sebastião Port, in the coast from São Paulo.

It’s a Petrobrás project and the investment is estimated in R$ 4 billion. The expectation is that the Ethanol pipeline starts to operate within approximately three years. The intermodal hub, however, should start working soon, located in the municipal district of Serrana (SP), 340 km from the capital. Studies show that the terminal will have the capacity to support the transportation of part of the 37,6% of the ethanol produced in the Center-South region, besides the grains cultivated in São Paulo, Minas Gerais Triangle and South and South of Goiás. The area has about 690 thousand m² and there are the railroads called High Mogiana, capable to interconnect the interior of the Center-south to the Santos Port, also in the coast of São Paulo.

The Regional Intermodal Hub, as it is known, estimates to attract 60 companies from the Logistics and Transportation segment in the first phase and other 90 in the next years. This means, in practice, the generation of more than three thousand new jobs. The construction should start still on this semester. The Serrana City Hall awaits the release of R$ 15,4 million from Program of Growth Acceleration (PAC) in order to offer infrastructure to the interested companies if they get established there. Those resources already integrate the Annual Budget Law 2008 (LOA), from the Ministry of Finance. According to mayor Valério Antônio Galante, “the sugar & ethanol sector will be, no doubt about it, one of the largest beneficiaries with the terminal, which function will be to integrate the land transportation - road and rail - to create a new national logistics plan and optimize costs.”
