Pólo intermodal trará nova configuração de armazenagem

Na área está prevista a construção de tanques de armazenamento de álcool. A biomassa dos derivados da cana (bagaço para co-geração de energia elétrica) também poderá ser transportada para várias regiões do Brasil a partir do terminal, com operações da empresa de logística Ferrovia Centro-Atlântica (FCA - Companhia Vale do Rio Doce) e BR Petrobrás. A FCA já atua no trecho ferroviário entre Uberlândia (MG) e Santos, passando por Ribeirão Preto e Serrana. Ainda de acordo com Galante, o Pólo Intermodal Regional também irá concentrar as operações de transportes de outros produtos da agroindústria (açúcar, suco de laranja concentrado, entre outros). Além disso, atenderá os setores de mineração/calcário e fertilizantes e das indústrias metalúrgicas e de transformação (calçados, máquinas agrícolas, equipamentos médicos e odontológicos, entre outros).

O projeto tem as mesmas características da Plataforma Logística Intermodal de Goiás, no município de Anápolis, considerada modelo na América Latina, cujas obras foram inauguradas em maio de 2007.Sua configuração física de armazenagem é destinada à gestão da movimentação e estoque de produtos, com projetos futuros de integração multimodal, dando incentivos à agregação de valores. A administração do terminal de Serrana ficará por conta do Sindicato das Empresas de Transporte de Cargas de Ribeirão Preto e Região (Sindetrans). A entidade também propõe um conceito de central de inteligência logística, combinando multimodalidade, telemática, otimização de fretes e despachos aduaneiros. Por meio do acesso eficiente aos eixos de transporte rodoviário, ferroviário e aeroportuário, o pólo intermodal irá permitir a integração com as principais rotas logísticas do País.

O Sindetrans já tem uma lista de mais de 50 transportadoras interessadas em ocupar os módulos. O presidente da entidade, Wilson Soares Piccolo, calcula que as atividades devem ter início no final deste ano ou nos primeiros meses de 2009. No início de abril deste ano, diretores do sindicato estiveram reunidos em Brasília (DF) para discutir com representantes do Congresso e do Ministério dos Transportes os últimos detalhes do repasse do PAC e o início das obras. “O transporte ferroviário será intensificado, assim como propõe o governo federal, e a utilização de caminhões nas estradas será mais racional, principalmente no Estado de São Paulo”, comentou Piccolo.

Its physical storage configuration is designed to manage to the products movements and storage, with future projects of multimodal integration, encouraging the value added. The administration of the Serrana Hub will be performed by the Union of the Transport and Cargo Companies from Ribeirão Preto and Region (Sindetrans). The entity also proposes a conceptof Logistics Intelligence Central, combining multimodality, telematics, freight optimization and customs officers. Through the efficient access to the road transport, railroads and aeroportuary, the intermodal hub will allow the integration with the main logistic routes in the Country.
